====== Render problems ====== First things to be said. A renderfarm is only having the same problems a render might have, like the same scene would have rendering local. This is here truly the case, since the workstations are the barebone of the renderfarm used at the mdh. ===== Best practices ===== - only render shots for which the lighting/aov-setup has been checked by rendering some stills or partial stills, and/or for which playblasts have been made to approve for animation - choose a wise [[3d:arnold:sampling-denoising|sampling configuration]] to speed up render times ===== Error-Compensation Methods ===== - Be sure that the right version of the software to open and render with is available at your workstation - If the scene opens well, check the render settings (AOV, camera, render-layer, range, file-specifics) → save - Try a local batch rendering and see if this works (i.e. with "FroG_BatchGUI"), if not re-open the scene and try different things like: - delete history and clean things up - import references - scene optimise different aspects .. and do check that everything seems to fine after that → save (i.e. just for rendering) - If the batch rendering works, it should also work on the render-farm, if it doesn't, work use the sequence-render functionality as last resort
