Think/Plan what to do…
LDR to HDR workflow, Insta360 Camera (close to the planned integration)
LDR-Sequence (Insta360), >=9 exposures
LDR-Sequence (Insta360), >=9 exposures with ColorRef placed near the point of integration [under the horizontal line of the perspective of the insta360 to limit occlusions to the floor region]
Main footage
Shot the main footage to work with as BG [this shot needs to be (camera)tracked] → hence make sure that your camera is changing its position during the shot (not only a nodal pan!)
independant or attached (beginning/end of shot), record the ColorRef placed near the point of integration, maybe a fraction further away, since the perspective toward the reference should be rather similar with both cameras!
Use a reference object that is similar in shape and size to the cgi to be integrated later to get some reference to work with later (especially to see the dominant shadow or the characteristics of that)
Take care of a phase of stable weather condition, if shooting outside (i.e. no clouds suddenly covering the sun)
Distortion Grid (same camera like used for main footage!), shoot with the same focal length the distortion grid at the mdh. This should be done flat frontal and from perspectives with gentle motion for sharp images.
If the door is closed, you will need someone to hold it open for you during vacation-time (but it is possible to leave the building via the stairs).
